A Case of Idiopathic Hypereosinophilic Syndrome

Abstract
|
|
|
Idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome is the disorder which has the common feature of prolonged eosinophilia and organ system dysfunction.
Diagnostic criteria(1975, Chusid, NIH)
1) Persistent eosinophilia of 1,500 eosinophils/㎣for at least 6 months or death before 6 months with signs and symptoms of hypereosinophilic syndrome.
2) Lack of evidence for parasitic, allergic, or other recognized cause of eosinophilia.
3) Sign and symptoms of organ system involvement or dysfunction directory related to eosinophilia.
We have experienced a cases of idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome in 9 years old male patient.
